(EN)Nano scale collagen particles can be obtained from an embrittling and attrition process that reduces the size of collagen particles to the nano scale. These nano scale collagen particles have many favorable properties such as providing beneficial and enhanced properties for cell seeding and wound healing. The nano scale collagen particles can be included in biocompatible (e.g., biostable or biodegradable) compositions and are useful for wound treatment and management, as well as in cell cultures and tissue engineering implants.
(FR)Des particules de collagène de l'ordre du nanomètre peuvent être obtenues par un processus de fragilisation et d'attrition conduisant à la diminution de la taille de ces particules au niveau nanométrique. Ces particules de collagène de l'ordre du nanomètre présentent maintes caractéristiques favorables, entre autres choses des propriétés bénéfiques et accrues pour l'ensemencement de cellules et la cicatrisation. Les particules de collagène de l'ordre du nanomètre peuvent être incluses dans des compositions biocompatibles (c'est-à-dire biostables et biodégradables) pour le traitement et la prise en charge de traumatismes ainsi que pour les cultures cellulaires et les implants issus de l'ingénierie tissulaire.
