Abstract
(EN) Apparatuses and methods for medium reservation in the case of multi-user (MU) communications. Multiple mechanisms are supported for protecting MU transmissions, wherein appropriate control messages can be exchanged between an access point and served user stations before transmitting downlink data packets. In particular an apparatus (1202) for wireless communications, comprising: a transmitter configured to transmit a confirmation message (1206) announcing reservation of a medium for data communication during a time period, wherein the transmitter is also configured to transmit, subsequent to the transmission of confirmation message, data (1208) over the medium simultaneously to a plurality of apparatuses (12041-3) during the time period.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des appareils et des procédés permettant la réservation de support en cas de communications multiutilisateurs (MU). Plusieurs mécanismes sont supportés pour protéger des transmissions MU, de sorte que des messages de commande appropriés peuvent être échangés, avant une transmission en liaison descendante de paquets de données, entre un point d'accès et des stations d'utilisateur desservies. En particulier, un appareil (1202) pour des communications sans fil, comprend : un émetteur configuré pour transmettre un message de confirmation (1206) annonçant la réservation d'un support pour une communication de données durant une période de temps, l'émetteur étant également configuré pour transmettre, à la suite de la transmission du message de confirmation, des données (1208) simultanément à une pluralité d'appareils (12041-3) par le biais du support et durant ladite période de temps.
