Abstract
(EN) Disclosed are shutter spectacles in which a left-eye shutter and a right-eye shutter are correctly controlled even when a control signal that should be received is temporarily missing. To achieve this, an image display device is provided with: an image display unit which displays in an alternately repeated manner a left-eye field that displays a left-eye image signal and a right-eye field that displays a right-eye image signal, and which also transmits a first control signal synchronized with the left-eye field and the right-eye field; and shutter spectacles which have a left-eye shutter and a right-eye shutter that receive the first control signal and that also transmit and block visible light, wherein the shutter spectacles are provided with a shutter control circuit and control transmission and blocking of visible light in the left-eye shutter and the right-eye shutter by using a second control signal. The shutter control circuit stores first timing information of a plurality of fields that are based on the first control signal and that span a plurality of received fields, and the shutter control circuit also generates the second control signal in accordance with the stored first timing information of the plurality of fields.
