Abstract
(EN) Provided are methods and compositions for reducing superoxide anions such that a prophylactic or therapeutic effect against conditions associated with excess oxidative stress achieved. The compositions and methods provide for reducing inflammation and for enhancing lifespan of eukaryotic organisms. A screen for identifying compounds that can be used in these methods is also provided.
(FR) La présente invention a pour objet des procédés et des compositions pour la réduction des anions superoxyde de telle sorte qu'un effet prophylactique ou thérapeutique contre des affections associées à un stress oxydatif excessif soit obtenu. Les compositions et les procédés fournissent une réduction de l'inflammation et une augmentation de la durée de vie des organismes eucaryotes. La présente invention concerne aussi un crible pour identifier des composés qui peuvent être utilisés dans ces procédés.
