This invention relates to an optical network comprising a plurality of nodes connected via two or more optical links (a, b, c, d, e, f, g). It comprises means to generate a supervisory optical signal transmitted through the optical links. It comprises means to duplicate and forward (401, 403, 405) the supervisory optical signal received by a node towards one or several other nodes and a plurality of optical monitors (402, 404, 406, 407). The said optical monitors are arranged to determine a single alarm code, this alarm code being a vector composed of several bits where each bit corresponds to the state of an optical monitor (402, 404, 406, 407), and where a failure in each one of the optical links is associated with a unique alarm code.

La présente invention concerne un réseau optique comprenant une pluralité de nœuds connectés par l'intermédiaire de deux liaisons optiques (a, b, c, d, e, f, g) ou plus. Il comprend des moyens pour générer un signal optique de surveillance transmis à travers les liaisons optiques. Il comprend des moyens pour dupliquer et acheminer (401, 403, 405) le signal optique de surveillance reçu par un nœud vers un ou plusieurs autres nœuds et une pluralité de dispositifs de surveillance optiques (402, 404, 406, 407). Lesdits dispositifs de surveillance optiques sont agencés pour déterminer un code d'alarme unique, ce code d'alarme étant un vecteur composé de plusieurs bits, chaque bit correspondant à l'état d'un dispositif de surveillance optique (402, 404, 406, 407), et une défaillance dans chacune des liaisons optiques étant associée à un code d'alarme unique.
