Abstract
(EN) System for adjusting the position and attitude of orbiting bodies using guide satellites that includes a satellite (1) fitted with a system for outputting a high-speed ion stream (3) and a secondary propulsion system (4), said satellite being located close to a body (2) the orbit and/or position of which is to be adjusted, and the position of the satellite being controlled such that the ion stream generated is directed against the body (2) generating the thrust necessary to adjust the orbit and/or orientation thereof. The system can be used to move active satellites, space debris or any other celestial body, transmitting the necessary thrust without physical contact with the body the orbit and/or orientation of which is to be adjusted. This helps to prevent problems related to collisions in orbit and enables complex rendezvous and docking manoeuvres.
(ES) Sistema de modificación de la posición y actitud de cuerpos en órbita por medio de satélites guía que comprende un satélite (1 ) equipado con un sistema de expulsión de un flujo de iones de alta velocidad (3) y un sistema de propulsión secundario (4), estando dicho satélite situado en las proximidades de un cuerpo (2) cuya órbita y/o posición se quiere modificar y estando la posición del satélite controlada de manera que el flujo de iones generado esté dirigido contra el cuerpo (2) generando el empuje necesario para modificar la órbita y/o orientación del mismo. El sistema es adecuado para desplazar satélites activos, basura espacial o cualquier cuerpo celeste, transmitiendo el empuje necesario sin contacto físico con el cuerpo cuya órbita y/o orientación se quiere modificar. Esto permite evitar problemas de colisión en órbita y maniobras complejas de "rendevous and docking".
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de modification de la position et de l'attitude de corps en orbite au moyen de satellites, comprenant un satellite (1) possédant un système d'expulsion d'un flux d'ions à haute vitesse (3) et un système de propulsion secondaire (4), ledit satellite étant situé à proximité d'un corps (2) dont on souhaite modifier l'orbite et/ou la position, la position du satellite étant commandée de sorte que le flux d'ions généré soit dirigé contre le corps (2), générant ainsi la poussée nécessaire pour modifier l'orbite et/ou l'orientation de ce dernier. Ledit système permet de déplacer des satellites actifs, un débris spatial ou n'importe quel corps céleste, en transmettant la poussée nécessaire sans contact physique avec le corps dont on souhaite modifier l'orbite et/ou l'orientation. Cela permet d'éviter les problèmes de collision en orbite ainsi que les manoeuvres complexes de "rendez-vous et amarrage".
