A plasma display panel comprises a front substrate, a rear substrate (6), electrodes (5), dielectric layers (4), barrier ribs (1) and phosphors (2), wherein each of the barrier ribs (1) is a double-layered barrier rib consisting of a lower barrier rib (11) arranged on the rear substrate (6) and an upper barrier rib (12) arranged on the lower barrier rib (11), the height of the upper barrier rib (12) is about a half or less of the overall height of the barrier rib, and the first acute angle between the side surface of the lower barrier rib (11) and the rear substrate (6) is larger than the second acute angle between the side surface of the upper barrier rib (12) and the rear substrate (6). A method for manufacturing the double-layered barrier ribs is also provided. The brightness and the luminous efficiency of the plasma discharging cells are improved.

L'invention porte sur un panneau d'affichage à plasma qui comprend un substrat avant, un substrat arrière (6), des électrodes (5), des couches diélectriques (4), des nervures barrières (1) et des luminophores (2). Chacune des nervures barrières (1) est une nervure barrière double couche constituée d'une nervure barrière inférieure (11) agencée sur le substrat arrière (6) et d'une nervure barrière supérieure (12) agencée sur la nervure barrière inférieure (11), la hauteur de la nervure barrière supérieure (12) est d'environ la moitié ou moins de la hauteur globale de la nervure barrière, et le premier angle aigu entre la surface latérale de la nervure barrière inférieure (11) et le substrat arrière (6) est plus grand que le second angle aigu entre la surface latérale de la nervure barrière supérieure (12) et le substrat arrière (6). L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication des nervures barrières doubles couches. La luminosité et le rendement lumineux des cellules à décharge dans un plasma sont améliorés.
