Disclosed is a base material for a lithium ion secondary battery, which is characterized by comprising a non-woven fabric of polyester short fibers and containing polyester ultra-short fibers having an average fiber diameter of 5.0 μm or less and a fiber length of 2 mm or less as an essential component. The base material is highly safe when over-charged and can be formed into a complex suitably. Also disclosed is a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery, which is produced using the base material.

L'invention concerne un matériau de base pour batterie secondaire lithium-ion, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un textile non tissé en fibres polyester courtes et en ce qu'il contient des fibres de polyester ultracourtes ayant un diamètre moyen des fibres égal ou inférieur à 5,0 µm et une longueur des fibres égale ou inférieure à 2 mm comme composant essentiel. Le matériau de base est extrêmement sûr en cas de surcharge et peut être réalisé selon des formes complexes. L'invention concerne en outre un séparateur pour batterie secondaire lithium-ion, fabriqué à l'aide du matériau de base.
