Provided is a light-diffusing film that is laminated on a substrate film and has a light-diffusing layer in which light-transmitting microparticles are diffused in a light-transmitting resin. Also provided are a method for manufacturing said light-diffusing film and a light-diffusing polarizing plate and liquid-crystal display device using said light-diffusing film. The aforementioned light-transmitting microparticles include first light-transmitting microparticles having a weight-average diameter greater than or equal to 0.5 μm and less than 6 μm, and second light-transmitting microparticles having a weight-average diameter between 6 μm and 15 μm, inclusive. The difference between the weight-average diameter of the first light-transmitting microparticles and that of the second light-transmitting microparticles is at least 2 μm. By weight, the light-transmitting microparticles constitute 22 to 60 parts of the diffusion layer per 100 parts of the light-transmitting resin. The centerline average roughness of the surface of the light-diffusing layer is no greater than 0.2 μm.

L’invention concerne un film diffuseur de lumière disposé sur un film substrat et présentant une couche de diffusion de lumière dans laquelle des microparticules émettrices de lumière sont diffusées dans une résine émettrice de lumière. Elle concerne également un procédé de fabrication du film diffuseur de lumière, et une plaque de polarisation diffuseuse de lumière et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides utilisant le film diffuseur de lumière. Ces microparticules émettrices de lumière comprennent de premières microparticules émettrices de lumière dont le diamètre moyen en poids est supérieur ou égal à 0,5 μm et inférieur à 6 μm; et de secondes microparticules émettrices de lumière dont le diamètre moyen en poids est compris entre 6 et 15 μm. La différence entre le diamètre moyen en poids des premières microparticules émettrices de lumière et celui des secondes microparticules émettrices de lumière est d'au moins 2 μm.
