Abstract

A quantum random number generation system comprising of a source of light output as a plurality of coherent states such that each state has an indeterminate number of photons, a photodetector arranged to receive the light output from the light source and to generate a photocurrent dependent on the number of photons in each coherent state and processing circuitry connected to receive the photocurrent and arranged to convert it to generate a sequence of random numbers.

L'invention porte sur un système de génération d'un nombre aléatoire quantique, comprenant une source d'émission de lumière en tant que pluralité d'états cohérents, de telle sorte que chaque état a un nombre indéterminé de photons, et un photo-détecteur agencé de façon à recevoir la lumière émise par la source de lumière et à générer un photo-courant en fonction du nombre de photons dans chaque état cohérent, un circuit de traitement étant connecté de façon à recevoir le photo courant et agencé de façon à convertir celui-ci afin de générer une séquence de nombres aléatoires.
