(EN)A pedal assembly using a non-contacting position sensor utilizing a spring-biased roller on a cam surface to simulate the feel of a conventional brake pedal is provided. The pedal assembly includes an elongated brake support bracket having a cam surface and a pedal arm having a spring-biased roller. A spring-biased roller assembly is mounted to an inward side or beside the pedal arm or on both sides of the pedal arm. The roller assembly includes a fixed leg extending on from an inner side of the pedal arm and a movable leg which is pivotally mounted to the pedal arm. A biasing member extends over the support between the fixed leg and movable leg to generate a biasing force against the roller. When the pedal is depressed, the roller is moved along the cam surface of the support bracket thereby creating the 'feel' of a traditional pedal assembly.
(FR)L'invention concerne un ensemble pédale utilisant un capteur de position sans contact, ce dernier comportant un galet sollicité par ressort sur une surface de came pour simuler le toucher d'une pédale de frein classique. L'ensemble pédale comprend un support de frein allongé comportant une surface de came et un bras de pédale comportant un galet sollicité par ressort. Un ensemble galet sollicité par ressort est monté sur une partie intérieure à côté du bras de pédale, ou de part et d'autre de celui-ci. L'ensemble galet comprend un pied fixe se déployant depuis une partie intérieure du bras de pédale, et un pied mobile qui est monté pivotant par rapport au bras de pédale. Un élément de sollicitation se déploie par-dessus le support, entre le pied fixe et le pied mobile, afin de produire une force de sollicitation contre le galet. Quand on appuie sur la pédale, le galet se déplace le long de la surface de came sur le support de manière à produire le toucher d'un ensemble pédale classique.
