We Claim:

1. A coated container device comprising:

a metal substrate; and

one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with said metal substrate, and wherein said one or more crosslinked coating layers are derived from the application of one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said metal substrate, and wherein said one or more aqueous dispersions comprise;

one or more base polymers;

one or more stabilizing agents;

one or more crosslinking agents; and

water.

2. A method for making a coated container device comprising the steps of:

selecting a metal substrate;

selecting one or more aqueous dispersions comprising;

one or more base polymers;

one or more stabilizing agents;

one or more crosslinking agents; and

water;

applying said one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said metal substrate;

removing at least a portion of the water from said one or more aqueous dispersions; thereby forming one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with said metal substrate; and

forming said coated metal substrate into a coated container device.

3. A method for making a coated container device comprising the steps of:

selecting a metal substrate;

forming said metal into a container device;

selecting one or more aqueous dispersions comprising;

one or more base polymers;

one or more stabilizing agents;

one or more cros slinking agents; and

water;

applying said one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said container device;

removing at least a portion of the water from said one or more aqueous dispersions; thereby forming one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with at least one surface of said container device; and

thereby forming said coated container device.

4. Any of the claims 1-3, wherein said base polymer comprises one or more polyolefins.

5. Any of the Claims 1-3, wherein said metal substrate is a pre-coated metal substrate.

6. A coated closure device comprising:

a metal substrate; and

one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with said metal substrate, and wherein said one or more crosslinked coating layers are derived from the application of one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said metal substrate, and wherein said one or more aqueous dispersions comprise;

one or more base polymers;

one or more stabilizing agents

one or more cros slinking agents; and

water.

7. A method for making a coated closure device comprising the steps of:

selecting a metal substrate;

selecting one or more aqueous dispersions comprising;

one or more base polymers;

one or more stabilizing agents;

one or more cros slinking agents; and

water;

applying said one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said metal substrate;

removing at least a portion of the water from said one or more aqueous dispersions; thereby forming one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with said metal substrate; and

forming said coated metal substrate into a coated closure device.

8. A method for making a coated closure device comprising the steps of:

selecting a metal substrate;

forming said metal into a closure device;

selecting one or more aqueous dispersions comprising;

one or more base polymers;.

one or more stabilizing agents

one or more cros slinking agents; and

water;

applying said one or more aqueous dispersions to at least one surface of said closure device;

removing at least a portion of the water from said one or more aqueous dispersions; thereby forming one or more crosslinked coating layers associated with at least one surface of said closure device; and

thereby forming said coated closure device.

9. Any of the Claims 5-7, wherein said metal substrate is a pre-coated metal substrate.

10. Any of the claims 5-7, wherein said one or more base polymers comprise one or more polyolefins.
