A method of generating electrical power utilizing hot surface air as the heat source, high atmosphere as the heat sink and a microwave beam providing updraft to initiate and control the large-scale air circulation. The frequency of the microwave beam is centered at approximately 60 GHz, within the absorption band of molecular oxygen. A high-power microwave source, turbine-generator sets, and a condenser/cyclone for floating platform are also disclosed, clean water from condensation out of humid, sea level air can be provided. Carbon dioxide can be removed from the air. The dynamic chimney produced by the microwave beam could alternatively be deployed in conjunction with a solar heat power plants, industrial chimneys, and cooling towers of conventional power plants to increase their effective height.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de production d'énergie électrique utilisant de l'air de surface chaud en tant que source de chaleur, la haute atmosphère en tant que puits de chaleur et un faisceau hyperfréquence dirigé vers le haut créant une ascendance afin de déclencher et de commander la circulation d'air à grande échelle. La fréquence du faisceau hyperfréquence est centrée à environ 60 GHz, dans la bande d'absorption de l'oxygène moléculaire, pour avoir pour résultat une pénétration du faisceau jusqu'à une altitude de plusieurs kilomètres. La centrale électrique comprend une source hyperfréquence de forte puissance, par exemple un banc de gyrotrons, un ou plusieurs ensembles turbine-générateur, et- facultativement- un condenseur/cyclone (si elle se trouve sur une plate-forme flottante). La centrale peut également fournir de l'eau propre provenant d'une condensation d'air humide au niveau de la mer. La centrale pourrait également être utilisée pour éliminer du dioxyde de carbone atmosphérique de grandes quantités d'air. La cheminée dynamique crée par le faisceau hyperfréquence pourrait selon une variante être déployée conjointement avec des centrales thermiques solaires, des cheminées industrielles, et des tours de refroidissement de centrales électriques classiques pour augmenter leur hauteur efficace.
