A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device (100) includes a step of preparing a liquid crystal panel (200) provided with an active matrix substrate, an opposed substrate, and a liquid crystal layer of vertical alignment type disposed between the active matrix substrate and the opposed substrate, a step of determining the chromaticity of the liquid crystal panel (200) in the front direction, varying the brightnesses of blue sub-pixels belonging to two pixels within an adjustable range, and determining the adjustable range of the chromaticity of the liquid crystal panel (200) in an oblique direction for each of the gray scale levels when achromatic color is displayed, and a step of setting the brightnesses of the blue sub-pixels so that the chromaticity of the liquid crystal panel in the oblique direction is closest to the chromaticity of the liquid crystal panel in the front direction within the adjustable range for at least a part of the whole of gray scale levels.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication d'un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides (100) qui comprend une étape de préparation d'un panneau à cristaux liquides (20) comportant un substrat de matrice active, un substrat opposé et une couche de cristaux liquides d'un type à alignement vertical disposée entre le substrat de matrice active et le substrat opposé, et une étape de détermination de la chromaticité du panneau à cristaux liquides (200) dans la direction avant, de variation des brillances de sous-pixel bleus appartenant à deux pixels dans une plage ajustable, et de détermination de la plage ajustable de la chromaticité du panneau à cristaux liquides (200) dans une direction oblique pour chacun des niveaux d'échelle de gris lorsqu'une couleur achromatique est affichée, et une étape de réglage des brillances des sous-pixels bleus de telle sorte que la chromaticité du panneau à cristaux liquides dans la direction oblique est la plus proche de la chromaticité du panneau à cristaux liquides dans la direction avant dans la plage ajustable pour au moins une partie de la totalité des niveaux d'échelle de gris.
