In an active matrix substrate, pixels each including two pixel electrodes connected through a capacitor to each other are arranged in row and column directions, and two data signal lines are provided corresponding to one pixel column and two scanning signal lines corresponding to one pixel row. In a pixel (101) belonging to the pixel column and the pixel row, a transistor (12a) connected to one of two scanning signal lines (16a, 16b) is electrically connected to one of two pixel electrodes (17a, 17b) included in the pixel (101), and a transistor (12b) connected to the other one of the two scanning signal lines is electrically connected to the other one of the two pixel electrodes. In addition, each of the transistors (12a, 12b) is electrically connected to the same data signal line (15x) that is one of the two data signal lines (15x, 15y). This makes it possible to enhance the display quality of a pixel dividing type or capacitor coupling type liquid crystal display device in which two lines are selected at a time.

Selon l'invention, dans un substrat de matrice active, des pixels, comprenant chacun deux électrodes de pixels connectées par un condensateur l'une à l'autre, sont agencés dans des directions de rangée et de colonne, et deux lignes de signal de données sont disposées de façon à correspondre à une colonne de pixels et deux lignes de signal de balayage sont disposées de façon à correspondre à une rangée de pixels. Dans un pixel (101) appartenant à la colonne et la rangée de pixels, un transistor (12a) connecté à l'une des deux lignes de signal de balayage (16a, 16b) est électriquement connecté à l'une des deux électrodes de pixels (17a, 17b) comprises dans le pixel (101), et un transistor (12b) connecté à l'autre ligne des deux lignes de signal de balayage est électriquement connecté à l'autre électrode des deux électrodes de pixels.
