Abstract

An audio beamforming apparatus comprises a receiving circuit (103) which receives signals from an at least two-dimensional microphone array (101). A reference circuit (105) generates reference beams and a combining circuit (107) generates an output signal corresponding to a desired beam pattern by combining the reference beams. An estimation circuit (109) generates a direction estimate by determining angles corresponding to local minima for a power measure of the output signal in at least a first and respectively second angle interval. The direction estimate is generated by selecting one of the angles. The combining circuit (107) determines combination parameters to provide a notch in an angle corresponding to the direction estimate and a minimization of a directivity cost measure where the directivity cost measure is indicative of a ratio between a gain in the first direction and an energy averaged gain.

L'invention porte sur un appareil de formation de faisceau audio qui comprend un circuit de réception (103) qui reçoit des signaux provenant d'un réseau de microphones au moins bidimensionnel (101). Un circuit de référence (105) génère des faisceaux de référence et un circuit de combinaison (107) génère un signal de sortie correspondant à un diagramme de faisceau désiré par combinaison des faisceaux de référence. Un circuit d'estimation (109) génère une direction estimée par détermination d'angles correspondant à des minima locaux pour une mesure de puissance du signal de sortie dans au moins un premier et respectivement un second intervalle d'angles. La direction estimée est générée par sélection de l'un des angles. Le circuit de combinaison (107) détermine des paramètres de combinaison pour former une encoche dans un angle correspondant à la direction estimée et une minimisation d'une mesure de coût de directivité, la mesure de coût de directivité étant indicative d'un rapport entre un gain dans la première direction et un gain moyenné en énergie.
