Systems and methods are disclosed for limiting text/multimedia message delivery based on destination point codes or other destination identifiers. A switching center (122) in a mobile network (100) monitors the amount of text/multimedia message traffic routed to destinations (126-129). If the message traffic routed to a destination (126-129) exceeds a threshold, then the switching center (122) generates a traffic message indicating traffic congestion for the destination (126-129), and transmits the traffic message to a message center (120). The message center (120) processes the traffic message to identify a destination point code for the destination (126-129). The message center (120) then adjusts delivery of text/multimedia messages toward the destination point code of the destination (126-129).

Cette invention se rapporte à des systèmes et à des procédés destinés à limiter une remise de message de texte/multimédia basée sur des codes de point de destination ou sur d'autres identifiants de destination. Un centre de commutation (122) situé dans un réseau mobile (100) surveille la quantité de trafic de message de texte/multimédia routé vers des destinations (126-129). Si le trafic de message routé vers une destination (126-129) dépasse un seuil, alors le centre de commutation (122) génère un message de trafic qui indique un encombrement de trafic de la destination (126-129) et transmet le message de trafic à un centre de message (120). Le centre de message (120) traite le message de trafic de manière à identifier un code de point de destination de la destination (126-129). Le centre de message (120) règle ensuite la remise des messages de texte/multimédia vers le point de point de destination de la destination (126-129).
