In supplying energy to a medical device implanted in a mammal patient a first coil system (20) external to the patient's body for wirelessly transferring energy can be used that inductively cooperates with a second coil system (12) that, when implanted in the patient's body,receives wirelessly transferred energy for supplying energy or control signals to the medical device, when implanted in the patient's body. The first and second coil systems comprise each at least two individual coils (50, 51; 60, 61) which are not directly electrically connected to each other and operate basically independently of each other. This may give a very efficient and versatile transfer of energy or control signals. The coils in each of the coil systems can be operating at different frequencies by being connected to respective electric circuits, where each of these respective electric circuits operate basically independently of each other generating e.g. alternating electric current of different frequencies.

La présente invention concerne la fourniture d'énergie à un dispositif médical implanté chez un patient mammifère. En l'occurrence, on utilise un premier système de bobines (20) situé à l'extérieur du corps du patient pour transférer sans fil l'énergie. Ce premier système de bobines (20) coopère par induction avec un second système de bobines (12), qui est implanté dans le corps du patient, et qui reçoit l'énergie transférée sans fil de façon à fournir de l'énergie ou des signaux au dispositif médical implanté dans le corps du patient de commande. Le premier et le second des systèmes de bobines comprennent chacun au moins deux bobines distinctes qui ne sont pas électriquement connectées l'une à l'autre, et qui fonctionnent essentiellement indépendamment l'une de l'autre. Cela peut aboutir à un transfert très efficace et multiforme de l'énergie et des signaux de commande. Les bobines mises en œuvre dans chacun des systèmes de bobines peuvent fonctionner à des fréquences différentes si elles sont connectées chacune à un circuit électrique, chacun de ces circuits électriques distincts fonctionnant essentiellement indépendamment l'un de l'autre, et produisant ainsi, par exemple, du courant électrique alternatif à des fréquences différentes.
