Abstract

A method of constructing a tower structure by assembling a set of coaxial telescopic sections (2, 3a, 3b) in position on site and then raising the assembled sections using hydraulic crawler jacks (8) and tendons (5). The telescopic sections are assembled or constructed in situ, starting with the inner section and then each subsequent section around the outside of the previously constructed sections. Each individual tower section may be cast in situ or assembled from multiple pre-fabricated segments. This method permits the construction of very tall structures while obviating the need for very large cranes. It also removes the design constraints on the height of the individual telescopic sections.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de construction d'une structure de tour par l'assemblage d'un ensemble de sections télescopiques coaxiales (2, 3a, 3b) en position sur le terrain, puis par l'élévation des sections assemblées à l'aide de vérins de chenille hydraulique (8) et de tendons (5). Les sections télescopiques sont assemblées ou construites in situ, en commençant avec la section interne, puis avec chaque section ultérieure autour de l'extérieur des sections construites précédemment. Chaque section de tour individuelle peut être coulée in situ ou assemblée à partir de multiples segments préfabriqués. Ce procédé permet la construction de structures très hautes tout en éliminant le besoin de grues de grande dimension. Ce procédé élimine également les contraintes de conception sur la hauteur des sections télescopiques individuelles.
