Techniques are disclosed for presenting users with dynamic views of process data related to the operations of an industrial system. Data obtained by a SCADA system may be stored in a real-time status database (which reflects the current process data of the industrial system) and a historian database (which archives the process data from the industrial system as it changes over time). A design canvas allows users to compose a dynamic view of the process data obtained by the SCADA system. For example, a user may compose a dynamic view of selected temperatures, pressures, and flow rates obtained by the SCADA system while monitoring the status of a pipeline.

L'invention concerne des techniques de présentation, à des utilisateurs, d'affichages dynamiques de données de processus relatives aux opérations d'un système industriel. Les données obtenues à l'aide d'un système SCADA peuvent être mémorisées dans une base de données d'états en temps réel (qui reflète les données de processus actuelles du système industriel), et une base de données d'historiques (qui archive les données de processus provenant du système industriel car elles changent au fil du temps). Un canevas de conception permet aux utilisateurs de composer un affichage dynamique des données de processus obtenues à l'aide du système SCADA. Par exemple, un utilisateur peut composer un affichage dynamique de températures, de pressions et de débits sélectionnés obtenus à l'aide du système SCADA tout en surveillant l'état d'une conduite.
