Single- or dual-bladder devices for remote ischemic preconditioning and blood pressure monitoring are disclosed along with various oscillometry-based and other methods for detecting systolic and diastolic blood pressure while the ischemic preconditioning treatment is in progress. The devices and methods of the invention provide for delivery of ischemic preconditioning at the lowest effective cuff pressure while closely monitoring patient's hemodynamics. Advantageously, the device of the invention allows both ischemic preconditioning and blood pressure monitoring to be done on the same limb. Disposable battery-powered version of the device of the present invention is especially useful for emergency use with patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, acute stroke, or acute trauma. Additional device configurations are described for use in a percutaneous intervention and vascular sealing settings.

L'invention porte sur des dispositifs à une seule vessie ou à double vessie, pour un préconditionnement ischémique à distance et un contrôle de la pression sanguine à distance, ainsi que sur divers procédés basés sur oscillométrie et autres procédés pour détecter la pression sanguine systolique et diastolique tandis que le traitement de préconditionnement ischémique est en cours. Les dispositifs et procédés selon l'invention permettent la réalisation d'un préconditionnement ischémique à la pression de manchon effective la plus faible tout en contrôlant étroitement l'hémodynamique du patient. De manière avantageuse, le dispositif selon l'invention permet à la fois à un préconditionnement ischémique et un contrôle de la pression sanguine d'être réalisés sur le même membre. Une version alimentée par batterie jetable du dispositif selon la présente invention est particulièrement utile pour une utilisation en urgence sur des patients souffrant d'un infarctus aigu du myocarde, d'un accident vasculaire cérébral aigu ou d'un trauma aigu. Des configurations de dispositif supplémentaires sont décrites pour une utilisation dans une intervention percutanée et des réglages d'étanchéification vasculaire.
