A polar modulator is provided with: a first function block which generates an amplitude signal and a phase signal; a second function block which adjusts the signal delay between the amplitude signal and phase signal; a third function block which allows the low frequency component of the amplitude signal to pass through; a fourth function block which modulates the phase of the phase signal; a fifth function block which outputs a modulation voltage on the basis of the amplitude signal; a sixth function block which modulates the amplitude of the phase signal on the basis of the modulation voltage; a seventh function block which measures the temperature of at least one function block; and an eighth function block which calculates the amount of compensation for the signal delay on the basis of the measured temperature. The second function block adjusts the signal delay on the basis of the amount of compensation.

Modulateur polaire comprenant : un premier bloc fonctionnel qui génère un signal d'amplitude et un signal de phase ; un deuxième bloc fonctionnel qui règle le retard de signal entre le signal d'amplitude et le signal de phase ; un troisième bloc fonctionnel qui laisse passer la composante basse fréquence du signal d'amplitude ; un quatrième bloc fonctionnel qui module la phase du signal de phase ; un cinquième bloc fonctionnel qui génère une tension de modulation en fonction du signal d'amplitude ; un sixième bloc fonctionnel qui module l'amplitude du signal de phase en fonction de la tension de modulation ; un septième bloc fonctionnel qui mesure la température d'au moins un bloc fonctionnel ; et un huitième bloc fonctionnel qui calcule l'ampleur de la compensation du retard de signal en fonction de la température mesurée. Le deuxième bloc fonctionnel règle le retard de signal en fonction de l'ampleur de la compensation.
