An alternating current impedance-estimating section (106) estimates an alternating current impedance (Rh) of the secondary battery based on electric current (I) and voltage (V) of the secondary battery detected when a ripple generating section causes a ripple current to flow in the secondary battery. A temperature estimating section (108) estimates the temperature (T) of the secondary battery based on the alternating current impedance (Rh) estimated by the alternating current impedance-estimating section (106) with the use of the relation, obtained in advance, between the temperature (T) of the secondary battery and the alternating current impedance (Rh) of the secondary battery at a ripple frequency.

Selon l'invention, une section d'estimation d'impédance à courant alternatif (106) estime une impédance à courant alternatif (Rh) d'une batterie secondaire en fonction d'un courant électrique (I) et d'une tension (V) de la batterie secondaire détectés lorsqu'une section de génération d'ondulation amène un courant ondulatoire à passer dans la batterie secondaire. Une section d'estimation de température (108) estime la température (T) de la batterie secondaire en fonction de l'impédance à courant alternatif (Rh) estimée par la section d'estimation d'impédance à courant alternatif (106) au moyen de la relation, obtenue à l'avance, entre la température (T) de la batterie secondaire et l'impédance à courant alternatif (Rh) de la batterie secondaire à une fréquence d'ondulation.
