The present invention describes a chip for measuring transport properties of cell membranes or lipid bilayers comprising at least a substrate having a topside and a backside and plurality of nano- or micro-pores and a cell membrane covering the plurality of pores being accessible from both sides of the cell membrane for measurement. A material layer at least in the region of the pores to support the cell membrane at the pores but not hindering the transport through the cell membrane and the pores is arranged on the substrate, either on the topside or on the backside. Electrodes are attached to the substrate for electrochemically measurement of the differences in the current through the membrane and the pores for monitoring transport processes. Both sides of the membrane are accessible by this structure.

La présente invention porte sur une puce pour mesurer les propriétés de transport de membranes cellulaires ou de bicouches lipidiques, la puce comprenant au moins un substrat ayant un côté supérieur et un côté inférieur et une pluralité de nanopores ou de micropores, et une membrane cellulaire recouvrant la pluralité de pores étant accessible des deux côtés de la membrane cellulaire pour une mesure. Une couche de matière, au moins dans la région des pores, pour supporter la membrane cellulaire au niveau des pores, mais ne gênant pas le transport à travers la membrane cellulaire et les pores, est disposée sur le substrat, soit sur le côté supérieur, soit sur le côté inférieur. Des électrodes sont fixées au substrat pour une mesure électrochimique des différences du courant circulant à travers la membrane et les pores pour le contrôle de processus de transport. Les deux côtés de la membrane sont accessibles par cette structure.
