A user interface including a display screen and an input device. The input device is for example a touchscreen, a touch pad, and one or more proximity sensors. The input device detects an input event, more specifically a pointing object placed in proximity therewith. Parameters of the input event include distance of the pointing object from the input device, speed of displacement of the pointing object towards the input device, direction of displacement of the pointing object towards the input device, and direction of displacement of the pointing object relative a plane of the input device. The display screen effects output events or magnification events. A field of view on the display screen (i.e. an area on the display screen) is magnified. At least one of scale of magnification, size of field of view to be magnified and size of resultant magnified field of view is dependent on at least one of the parameters of the input event. A user interface method for controlling magnification events effected by the display screen in response to signals generated by the input device is also provided by the present disclosure.

L'invention porte sur une interface utilisateur comprenant un écran d'affichage et un dispositif de saisie. Le dispositif de saisie est par exemple un écran à effleurement, un clavier à effleurement et un ou plusieurs détecteurs de proximité. Le dispositif de saisie détecte un événement de saisie et plus spécifiquement un objet pointant placé à proximité. Les paramètres de l'événement de saisie comprennent: la distance entre l'objet pointant et le dispositif de saisie, la vitesse de déplacement de l'objet pointant vers le dispositif de saisie, la direction de déplacement de l'objet pointant vers le dispositif de saisie, et la direction de déplacement de l'objet pointant par rapport au plan du dispositif de saisie. L'écran d'affichage peut produire des événements de sortie et des événements d'agrandissement. Un champ de vision de l'écran d'affichage (c'est-à-dire l'une de ses zones) peut être agrandi. L'une au moins des échelles d'agrandissement c'est-à-dire le rapport entre de la taille du champ de vision à agrandir et la taille du champ de vision agrandi résultant dépend d'un au moins des paramètres de l'événement saisi. L'invention porte également sur une méthode d'agrandissement d'événements produits par l'écran d'affichage en réponse à des signaux produits par le dispositif de saisie.
