Disclosed is an image display device which starts lighting of LEDs provided in a backlight device (8) at the time (time t4) when completing the drawing of the first frame of a blank image (an entirely black displayed image) which is displayed in order to eliminate irregularity in the potentials of respective pixel electrodes when the device is started. Therefore, an LED luminance reliably reaches 100% by the time (t7) when the display of an input image is started. Accordingly, luminance variation due to the lighting of the backlight device is not viewed at the time of starting the device and furthermore shortage in a lighting luminance never occurs during image display.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage d'image qui met en marche l'éclairage de DEL agencées dans un dispositif de rétroéclairage (8) au moment (instant t4) de la réalisation du tracé de la première trame d'une image vide (une image affichée entièrement noire) qui est affichée afin de supprimer toute irrégularité des potentiels d'électrodes de pixel respectives lorsque le dispositif est démarré. Par conséquent, une luminance de DEL atteint de manière fiable 100 % à l'instant (t7) où l'affichage d'une image d'entrée est démarré. Par conséquent, la variation de la luminance en raison de l'éclairage du dispositif de rétroéclairage n'est pas perçue au moment de la mise en marche du dispositif et en outre, une réduction de la luminance d'éclairage ne se produit jamais pendant l'affichage d'image.

本画像表示装置は、装置の起動時に各画素電極の電位のばらつきを解消するため表示させるブランク画像(全黒表示画像)の1フレーム目の描画が終了した時点(時刻t4)にバックライト装置(8)に備えられるLEDの点灯を開始する。そうすれば、入力画像の表示が開始される時刻(t7)までにはLED輝度が確実に100%に達するので、装置起動時点においてバックライト装置の点灯による輝度変化が視認されることはなく、併せて画像表示時に点灯輝度不足が生じることもない。
