Abstract

A wireless communication transceiver compensates a given received signal for retransmission interference, if (uncompensated) decoding of the given received signals fails. The transceiver estimates the retransmission interference bearing on the given received signal based on hypothesizing that another user (or users) mistakenly transmitted in the same time interval, using some or all of the same channel resources as were allocated to the given received signal. The transceiver may retain information in any given interval, indicating the channel allocations used for those user signals successfully received in that interval. The retained information allows the transceiver to determine, with respect to a given signal received in a current time interval, which other users would be interfering users if they mistakenly retransmitted in the current time interval. The transceiver may target its compensated decoding, which may be iterative, to the most likely and/or most significant ones of the potentially of interfering user(s).

L'invention porte sur un émetteur-récepteur de communication sans fil compensant un signal reçu donné en ce qui concerne une interférence de retransmission en cas d'échec d'un décodage (non compensé) des signaux reçus donnés. L'émetteur-récepteur estime l'interférence de retransmission apportée au signal reçu donné à partir de l'hypothèse selon laquelle un autre utilisateur (ou d'autres utilisateurs) ont transmis par erreur dans le même intervalle de temps, à l'aide d'une partie ou de la totalité des mêmes ressources de canal affectées au signal reçu donné. L'émetteur-récepteur peut conserver les informations dans tout intervalle donné, indiquant les affectations de canal utilisées pour les signaux d'utilisateur reçus avec succès dans cet intervalle. Les informations conservées permettent à l'émetteur-récepteur de déterminer, par rapport à un signal donné reçu dans un intervalle de temps actuel, quels autres utilisateurs pourraient interférer s'ils effectuaient une retransmission par erreur dans l'intervalle de temps actuel. L'émetteur-récepteur peut cibler son décodage compensé, qui peut être itératif, vers les utilisateurs les plus susceptibles et/ou les plus significatifs parmi ceux pouvant potentiellement interférer.
