A piston type pneumatic engine, including a cylinder block, a piston (1), a cylinder (2), a crankshaft (26), a connecting rod (3), a camshaft (4) and a device for controlling the opening or closing of air valves. A cylinder cover (5) is arranged on the cylinder (2) and the cylinder cover (5) is provided with an inwardly-opened compressed gas intake valve (7) and an exhaust valve (6). A camshaft (4) is provided with an intake cam (8) and an exhaust cam (9), and the crankshaft (26) drives the camshaft (4) by a timing chain or belt (22). The intake valve (7) and exhaust valve (6) are opened or closed by a rocker arm (17) so that high-pressure gas into the cylinder (2) can be controlled to drive piston (1) to reciprocate and to discharge low-pressure gas out of the cylinder (2). The piston (1) drives the crankshaft (26) to rotate and to output power by the connecting rod (3). An air suction valve (11) is arranged on the cylinder cover (5) and an air suction cam (12) is arranged on the camshaft (4). The air suction valve (11) is opened or closed by the rocker arm (17) for controlling the opening or closing time of the air suction valve (11) when the cylinder (2) sucks or stops sucking air outside the cylinder (2). The bore stroke ratio of the cylinder (2) can be 1:2~15.

Moteur pneumatique à piston, comprenant un bloc-cylindres, un piston (1), un cylindre (2), un vilebrequin (26), une bielle (3), un arbre (4) à cames et un dispositif destiné à commander l'ouverture ou la fermeture de soupapes à air. Une culasse (5) est placée sur le cylindre (2) et la culasse (5) est munie d'une soupape (7) d'admission de gaz comprimé s'ouvrant vers l'intérieur et d'une soupape (6) d'échappement. L'arbre (4) à cames est muni d'une came (8) d'admission et d'une came (9) d'échappement, et le vilebrequin (26) entraîne l'arbre (4) à cames par l'intermédiaire d'une chaîne ou courroie (22) de distribution. La soupape (7) d'admission et la soupape (6) d'échappement sont ouvertes ou fermées par un culbuteur (17) de manière à pouvoir commander l'entrée de gaz à haute pression dans le cylindre (2) afin de faire aller et venir le piston (1) de telle sorte qu'il refoule du gaz à basse pression hors du cylindre (2). Le piston (1) entraîne le vilebrequin (26) en rotation de façon à produire une puissance de sortie via la bielle (3).
