A mutant form of Verrucomicrobium spinosum tyrosinase as well as fragments thereof comprising the mature domain and having increased activity when compared to the pro-tyrosinase are disclosed. Further, methods for using the polypeptides are disclosed.

L'invention porte sur une forme mutante de la tyrosinase de Verrucomicrobium spinosum, ainsi que sur des fragments de celle-ci comportant le domaine adulte et dont l'activité est plus grande par comparaison avec la pro-tyrosinase.
