(EN)The present invention relates to a cathode active material for a lithium rechargeable battery which exhibits outstanding capacitance and life cycle characteristics and to a production method therefor as well as to lithium rechargeable batteries using the cathode active material. The cathode active material for a lithium rechargeable battery comprises tubular nanotubes defined by outer walls having a thickness in the nano scale, the outer walls of the nanotubes comprise at least one non carbon-based material selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium and antimony, and an amorphous carbon layer having a thickness of no more than 5 nm is formed on the outer walls of the nanotubes.
(FR)La présente invention porte sur un matériau actif de cathode pour batterie rechargeable au lithium qui manifeste des caractéristiques de capacité et de cycle de vie exceptionnelles, et sur son procédé de production, ainsi que sur des batteries rechargeables au lithium utilisant le matériau actif de cathode. Le matériau actif de cathode pour batterie rechargeable au lithium comprend des nanotubes tubulaires définis par des parois externes ayant une épaisseur d'échelle nanométrique, les parois externes des nanotubes comprennent au moins un matériau non à base de carbone choisi dans le groupe comprenant le silicium, le germanium et l'antimoine, et une couche de carbone amorphe ayant une épaisseur inférieure ou égale à 5 nm est formée sur les parois externes des nanotubes.
