(EN)The present invention relates to a medical device carrying a nano coating by utilizing the same on the coronary stent systems and a process for preparation thereof. The inventive coronary stents can be provided with various advantages/properties and properties thereof. The material coated is a biocompatible bio-formulation which by means of a physical vapor deposition route ensures a very thin coating (5 to 40 nm). In-vitro studies on human blood suggest that, the nano coated stent is devoid of platelet adhesion. Such a hydrophobic nano coated stent surface reduces the chances of thrombosis as a result it provides a viable alternative to drug eluting stents.
(FR)La présente invention porte sur un dispositif médical portant un nanorevêtement par utilisation de celui-ci sur des systèmes de stent coronarien et sur un procédé de fabrication de celui-ci. Les stents coronariens de l'invention peuvent être dotés de divers avantages/propriétés. La matière revêtue est une bioformulation biocompatible laquelle au moyen d'une voie de déposition en phase vapeur par procédé physique assure un revêtement très mince (5 à 40 nm). Des études in vitro sur le sang humain suggèrent que le stent nanorevêtu est dépourvu d'adhésion plaquettaire. Une telle surface de stent nanorevêtue hydrophobe réduit les risques de thrombose par suite du fait qu'il fournit une alternative viable aux stents éluant des médicaments.
