Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a method of treating or preventing pathologic cardiac hypertrophy, cardiac remodeling, myocardial infarction, or heart failure in a subject by inhibiting the expression or activity of miR-451 in heart cells of the subject. Methods of regulating cardiomyocyte survival and Akt signaling by modulating miR-451 expression or activity are also disclosed.
(FR) La présente invention a pour objet une méthode de traitement ou de prévention d'une hypertrophie cardiaque pathologique, d'un remodelage cardiaque, d'un infarctus du myocarde ou d'une insuffisance cardiaque chez un sujet par l'inhibition de l'expression ou de l'activité de miR-451 dans les cellules cardiaques du sujet. L'invention a également pour objet des méthodes de régulation de la survie des cardiomyocytes et de la signalisation Akt par la modulation de l'expression ou de l'activité de miR-451.
