Abstract

One embodiment of the current disclosure relates to an immune-modulating composition comprising a hydrogel-forming polymer, an immune-modulating biomolecule operable to recruit or retain an immune cell, and an antigen-related biomolecule. Another embodiment of the current disclosure relates to a method of providing an antigen to an antigen presenting cell in an animal by administering to the animal at an administration site an immune-modulating composition as described above. Next, one forms a hydrogel in-situ from the hydrogel-forming polymer, then recruits at least one antigen presenting cell to the administration site using the immune-modulating biomolecule, and finally inducing phagocytosis of the at least one antigen- related biomolecule by the antigen presenting cell.

La présente invention concerne, dans un mode de réalisation, une composition modulant l'immunité, qui comprend un polymère de formation d'hydrogel, une biomolécule modulant l'immunité qui sert à recruter ou à retenir une cellule immunitaire, et une biomolécule liée à un antigène. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention porte sur une méthode consistant à procurer un antigène à une cellule de présentation d'antigène chez un animal en administrant audit animal, sur un site d'administration, une composition modulant l'immunité telle que décrite ci-dessus. Puis un hydrogel est formé in situ à partir du polymère de formation d'hydrogel, et au moins une cellule de présentation d'antigène est recrutée sur le site d'administration au moyen de la biomolécule de modulation d'immunité. Enfin, la phagocytose de la ou des biomolécules liées à l'antigène est induite par la cellule de présentation d'antigène.
