Methods of forming functionalized carbon nanostructures, including reversibly hydrogenated carbon nanostructures and other derivatives, as well as compositions and materials formed therefrom. The carbon nanostructures include fullerenes, single-wall carbon nanotubes, multi-wall carbon nanotubes, graphite, and graphene. Methods of functionalizing the carbon nanostructures include dispersing carbon nanostructure materials and preparing dispersed carbon nanostructure compositions, forming carbon nanostructure derivatives with reactive functional groups, and forming polymers, copolymers, and thermoformable materials including carbon nanostructures.

L'invention porte sur des procédés de formation de nanostructures de carbone fonctionnalisées, comprenant des nanostructures de carbone hydrogénées de façon réversible et autres dérivés, ainsi que des compositions et des matières formées à partir de celles-ci. Les nanostructures de carbone comprennent les fullerènes, les nanotubes de carbone monoparoi, les nanotubes de carbone multiparoi, le graphite et le graphène.
