Abstract:
Provided is a torque wrench having a cam-type torque detection mechanism capable of detecting torque with high accuracy and allowing users to safely fasten members to be fastened such as bolts with natural handling feel after torque detection. In a torque wrench having a cam-type torque detection mechanism, a cam portion (27) formed at the outer periphery of a cam cylinder (22) includes a static engaging cam surface (27a) with which a roller member (18) at a standstill engages while the roller member (18) is not operating, a torque peak increasing cam surface (27b) that is linked to the static engaging cam surface (27a) and gradually increases the peak value of the torque when the roller member (18) moves while being in contact with the torque peak increasing cam surface (27b), a cam top surface (27c) that is linked to the torque peak increasing cam surface (27b) and forms a cam top portion, a torque reducing cam surface (27d) that gradually reduces the positive torque applied to the roller member (18) to zero, and a negative torque cam surface (27e) that applies negative torque to the roller member (18) after the roller member (18) passes through the torque reducing cam surface (27d).
