(EN)A method for error detection includes storing in an associative memory (24, 50, 70) multiple data entries (30), each data entry including a data item (28) together with one or more check symbols (40) computed with respect to the data item. A predetermined sequence of search keys (32) is applied to the memory, thereby causing the memory to generate, in parallel, match results with respect to the data entries. The match results are processed in order to identify an error in at least one of the data entries.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de détection d'erreurs consistant à enregistrer dans une mémoire associative (24, 50, 70) plusieurs rubriques de données (30) dont chacune comprend un article de données (28) accompagnée d'au moins un symbole de contrôle (40) calculé par rapport à l'article de données. En appliquant à la mémoire une suite prédéterminée de clés de recherche (32), on lui fait générer en parallèle des résultats de concordance par rapport aux rubriques de données. On traite ensuite les résultats de la recherche de façon à identifier une erreur dans l'une au moins des rubriques de données.
