Abstract:
(EN) A method for forming a polymer comprising the polymerisation of a plurality of monomers, wherein at least one of said plurality of monomers is one or both of: a charge transporting unit; and a hydro-carbon monomer in which at least one carbon atom has been substituted by an atom or group with a greater quantity of unshared valence electrons than the carbon atom it has been substituted for, and wherein at least one of said plurality of monomers comprises an end-capping compound at one end of said monomer, said end-capping compound preventing polymerisation at said end, wherein said end-capping compound is not charge transporting and comprises at least two rings. The end capping compound preferably consists of or includes a structural unit having the formula: (Ar)n-X, wherein Ar in each occurrence independently represents an aryl or heteroaryl group; X represents a leaving group comprising a boron derivative group or halogen; and n is 2 or more.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la formation d'un polymère comprenant la polymérisation d'une pluralité de monomères, au moins l'un de ladite pluralité de monomères étant : une unité transporteuse de charges; et/ou un monomère hydrocarboné dans lequel au moins un atome de carbone a été remplacé par un atome ou un groupe comprenant une quantité plus grande d'électrons de valence non partagés que l'atome de carbone qu'il a remplacé et au moins l'un de la pluralité de monomères comprenant un composé de coiffage à une extrémité dudit monomère, ledit composé de coiffage empêchant la polymérisation au niveau de ladite extrémité, ledit composé de coiffage n'étant pas transporteur de charge et comprenant au moins deux noyaux. Le composé de coiffage est de préférence constitué de ou comprend un motif de structure représenté par la formule : (Ar)n-X, où Ar à chaque occurrence représente indépendamment un groupe aryle ou hétéroaryle; X représente un groupe partant comprenant un groupe issu du bore ou un halogène; et n est supérieur ou égal à 2.
