(EN)A method of manufacturing a porous structure for a fuel cell is disclosed. The method includes providing the porous structure, and processing the porous structure to selectively produce a non-porous region on the porous structure. In one example, the non-porous region is provided at the perimeter of the porous structure, an edge of an internal manifold and/or a surface or recess that supports a seal or gasket. The non-porous region has a porosity that is less than the porosity of the porous structure. The non-porous region prevents undesired leakage of fluid from the porous structure and prevents migration of adhesive associated with the seals.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une structure poreuse pour pile à combustible. Le procédé consiste à mettre en place la structure poreuse et à traiter la structure poreuse de manière à produire sélectivement une région non poreuse sur la structure poreuse. Dans un exemple, la région non poreuse est disposée au périmètre de la structure poreuse, sur un bord d'un collecteur interne et/ou d'une surface ou d'un creux qui supporte un élément ou un joint d'étanchéité. La région non poreuse présente une porosité inférieure à la porosité de la structure poreuse. La région non poreuse empêche les fuites indésirables de fluide depuis la structure poreuse et empêche la migration d'un adhésif associé aux joints d'étanchéité.
