(EN) Provided is a safe, high-yield method for manufacturing a perfluoroacyl peroxide. A perfluoroacyl-halide-containing organic solvent solution is supplied to a cylindrical reaction vessel along with, per 1 part perfluoroacyl halide, 1.00 to 1.35 parts of an aqueous solution of a basic alkali metal compound and 0.60 to 40 parts of either hydrogen peroxide or an aqueous solution of a metal peroxide. The flow ratios between the perfluoroacyl halide, hydrogen peroxide or metal peroxide, and basic alkali metal compound are expressed in terms of mole ratios of the compounds in said solutions. By reacting the aforementioned solutions in the aforementioned reaction vessel, the yield of perfluoroacyl peroxide, based on the perfluoroacyl halide starting material, can be considerably increased over existing techniques.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer du peroxyde de perfluoroacyle de manière sûre et à fort rendement. Dans une cuve de réaction cylindrique, on place un solvant organique contenant un halogénure de perfluoroacyle, avec, pour 1 partie dudit halogénure de perfluoroacyle, de 1,00 à 1,35 partie d'une solution aqueuse d'un composé métallique alcalin basique et de 0,60 à 40 parties soit de peroxyde d'hydrogène, soit d'une solution aqueuse d'un peroxyde métallique. Les rapports de flux entre l'halogénure de perfluoroacyle, le peroxyde d'hydrogène ou le peroxyde métallique et le composé métallique alcalin basique sont exprimés en termes de rapports molaires des composés desdites solutions. La réaction de ces solutions dans la cuve de réaction susmentionnée, sur la base d'un matériau de départ constitué d'halogénure de perfluoroacyle, permet d'augmenter considérablement le rendement par rapport aux techniques existantes.
