Abstract:
The phenomenon of decreased fatigue strength of an outwardly adjacent layer (specifically a hoop layer), due to the effects of a step difference at the surface of a helical layer situated on an inner layer of an FRP layer may be avoided. To realize this, a tank (1) has a liner (20) and an FRP layer (21), which is made from hoop layers (70P) and helical layers (70H) that are alternately formed by fiber bundles (70) being wrapped on the outer circumference of said liner (20). The sectional area of the fiber bundles (70) that constitute said helical layers (70H), in at least one of the multiple helical layers (70H) located in an inner layer of the FRP layer (21), is smaller than the sectional area of the fiber bundles (70) that constitute other layers formed to the outside of said helical layer (70H). When a helical layer (70H) is thus formed using small sectional area fiber bundles (70), unevenness in said helical layer (70H) can be minimized, and the transfer of unevenness to other layers (e.g., hoop layers (70P)) formed to the outside of said helical layer (70H) can be limited.
