(EN)The present invention consists in a new technology, a simulated moving bed, absorbent membrane reactor. This technology comprises a reactor that integrates two different separation techniques: i) chromatography (simulated moving bed - SMB); ii) permeable membrane (namely, pervaporation and permeation, inter alia) into a single device, allowing a significant increase in the productivity of the unit and considerable reduction of downstream costs associated with the downstream separation units, for the same product purity and reactant conversion criteria. It is mainly useful in the chemical industry, particularly in the continuous production of oxygenated compounds, such as esters, acetals, ethers, carbonates, inter alia.
(FR)La présente invention consiste en une nouvelle technologie, soit un réacteur d'adsorption à membranes avec lit mobile simulé. La technologie proposée comprend un réacteur faisant intervenir deux techniques différentes de séparation, soit (i) la chromatographie (lit mobile simulé - SMB) et (ii) la membrane perméable (c'est-à-dire, pervaporation et perméation, entre autres), dans un unique équipement, ce qui permet une augmentation significative de la productivité de l'unité et une réduction considérable des coûts associés aux unités de séparation en aval, pour les mêmes exigences en termes de pureté des produits et de conversion des réactifs. L'invention trouve ses principales applications dans l'industrie chimique, et plus particulièrement dans la production continue de composés oxygénés tels que des esters, des acétals, des éthers et des carbonates, entre autres.
(PT)A presente invenção consiste numa nova tecnologia, o reactor de membranas adsorptivo de leito móvel simulado. A tecnologia proposta integra um reactor com duas técnicas diferentes de separação: i)cromatografia (leito lóvel simulado - SMB); ii) membrana permeável (nomeadamente, pervaporação e permeação, entre outros) num único equipamento, permitindo um aumento significativo da produtividade da unidade e redução considerável dos custos associados às unidades de separação seguintes, para os mesmos requisitos de pureza dos produtos e de conversão dos reagentes. Tem as suas principais aplicações na indústria química, de um modo particular, na produção contínua de compostos oxigenados, tais como ésteres, acetais, éteres, carbonatos, entre outros.
