Abstract:
(EN) A method is described for producing polyester polyols by partially-epoxidizing fatty acid alkyl esters having an iodine value from 90 to 190g I2/100 grams, fully-hydrogenating the partially-epoxidized esters to form hydroxylated fatty acid alkyl esters, and then reacting the hydroxylated fatty acid alkyl esters with a multifunctional ester-reactive initiator compound to form the polyester polyol.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la production de polyester-polyols par l'époxydation partielle d'esters alkyliques d'acides gras ayant un indice d'iode de 90 à 190 g d'I2/100 grammes, l'hydrogénation totale des esters partiellement époxydés pour former des esters alkyliques d'acides gras hydroxylés puis la réaction des esters alkyliques d'acides gras hydroxylés avec un composé initiateur multifonctionnel réactif avec les esters pour former le polyester-polyol.
