Title: HOLLOW-FIBER ELEMENT FOR ORGANIC-VAPOR SEPARATION
Abstract:
A hollow-fiber element constituting a separation membrane module for separating an organic vapor, the element comprising fiber bundles each composed of a plurality of hollow-fiber membranes having selective permeability and a pipe plate constituted of a cured object obtained by curing an epoxy composition (A) with a hardener (B), wherein the ends of the fiber bundles on at least one side have been bonded and bound together by means of the pipe plate. The cured object has a glass transition temperature of 160ºC or higher, a minimum elongation at break of 7.0% or higher, and a release rate lower than 5%. The hollow-fiber element hence has durability that enables the hollow-fiber membranes to sufficiently retain gas tightness between the inner spaces thereof and the outer space, even when the element is applied to a high-temperature high-pressure organic vapor.
