Abstract:
(EN) Provided is a liquid crystal display device wherein a PSA technology and a pixel electrode having a fishbone structure are used and generation of azimuth fluctuation in the vicinity of pixel edges is suppressed. The liquid crystal display device has a pair of polarizing plates (50a, 50b) disposed in crossed nicols, and alignment sustaining layers (34a, 34b) formed on the surfaces of the perpendicular alignment films (32a, 32b) on the liquid crystal layer side, and performs display in MVA mode in normally black mode. A pixel electrode (12) has a cross-shaped main portion (12a) disposed to overlap pair of polarizing axes (P1, P2) of the pair of polarizing plates, a plurality of branch portions (12b) extending from the main portion in the direction at 45°, and a plurality of slits (12c) formed between the branch portions. The outer circumferential shape of each pixel electrode is rectangle, including four sides forming an angle of 45° with the polarizing axes of the pair of polarizing plates, respectively. The branch portions are symmetrically arranged with respect to any straight line part of the main portion.
(FR) La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides, une technologie PSA et une électrode de pixel qui a une structure en forme d'arête de poisson, étant utilisées et la génération d'une fluctuation azimutale à proximité des bords de pixel étant supprimée. Le dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides a une paire de plaques de polarisation (50a, 50b) disposées en prisme de Nicols croisés, ainsi que des couches de maintien d'alignement (34a, 34b) formées sur les surfaces des films d'alignement perpendiculaires (32a, 32b) côté couche de cristaux liquides, et assure un affichage en mode MVA dans le mode normalement noir. Une électrode de pixel (12) a une partie principale en forme de croix (12a) disposée pour recouvrir une paire d'axes de polarisation (P1, P2) de la paire de plaques de polarisation, une pluralité de parties ramification (12b) s'étendant depuis la partie principale dans la direction à 45°, et une pluralité de fentes (12c) formées entre les parties ramification. La forme circonférentielle externe de chaque électrode de pixel est rectangulaire, comprenant quatre côtés qui forment un angle de 45° avec les axes de polarisation de la paire de plaques de polarisation, respectivement. Les parties ramification sont disposées de façon symétrique par rapport à une quelconque partie en ligne droite de la partie principale.
(JA) 本発明は、PSA技術とともにフィッシュボーン構造を有する画素電極が用いられた液晶表示装置において、画素エッジ近傍での方位角ぶれの発生を抑制することを目的とする。 本発明による液晶表示装置は、クロスニコルに配置された一対の偏光板(50a,50b)と、垂直配向膜(32a,32b)の液晶層側の表面に形成された配向維持層(34a,34b)とを有し、ノーマリブラックモードで表示を行うMVAモードのものであって、画素電極(12)は、一対の偏光板の偏光軸(P1,P2)と重なるように配置された十字形状の幹部(12a)と、幹部から45°方向に延びる複数の枝部(12b)と、複数の枝部間に形成された複数のスリット(12c)とを有するとともに、各画素電極の外周形状は、それぞれが一対の偏光板の偏光軸と45°の角をなす4つの辺を含む矩形とされており、複数の枝部は、幹部のいずれの直線部分に対しても対称に配置されている。
