Abstract:

Method and device for operations with an in-flight refuelling boom by means of the use of an articulated boom (11) and a cable (18), said boom (11) comprising movable aerodynamic surfaces (16) such that the method comprises the following steps: a) from the completely stowed and retracted position of the boom (11), the cable (18) begins to be paid out, and therefore the boom (11) starts to descend, said cable (18) being maintained under tension throughout step a) by means of the force provided by the movable aerodynamic surfaces (16) and/or the force of gravity on the boom (11); b) once the boom (11) is in its fully deployed position or the lower end of the flight container of the boom (11) has been reached, pay-out of the cable (18) stops; c) with the length of paid-out cable (18) remaining fixed, the boom (11) is placed in a position suitable for commencing the manoeuvres of refuelling the receiving aircraft; d) the manoeuvre of connecting the boom (11) to the receiving-aircraft receptacle is started, by means of controlling the movable aerodynamic surfaces (16); and e) once the connection has been made, fuel begins to be transferred to the receiving aircraft.

Método y dispositivo para operaciones con mástil de reabastecimiento en vuelo mediante el uso de un mástil articulado (11) y un cable (18), comprendiendo el citado mástil (11) unas superficies aerodinámicas móviles (16), tal que el método comprende las siguientes etapas: a) desde la posición completamente estibada y retraída del boom (11), se empieza a soltar el cable (18), con lo cual comienza a bajar el boom (11), manteniéndose el citado cable (18) en tensión durante toda la etapa a) mediante la fuerza proporcionada por las superficies aerodinámicas móviles (16) y/o la fuerza de la gravedad sobre el boom (11); b) una vez que se alcanza la posición máxima de desplegado del boom (11) o el extremo inferior de la envuelta de vuelo del boom (11), se detiene el soltado del cable (18); c) manteniendo fijada la longitud de cable (18) soltado, se lleva el boom (11) a una posición adecuada para comenzar las maniobras de reabastecimiento del avión receptor; d) se comienza la maniobra de conexión del boom (11) con el receptáculo del avión receptor, mediante el comando sobre las superficies aerodinámicas móviles (16); e) una vez realizada la conexión, se comienza el trasvase de combustible al avión receptor.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour des opérations avec perche de ravitaillement en vol à travers l'utilisation d'une perche articulée (11) et d'un câble (18), ladite perche (11) comprenant des surfaces aérodynamiques mobiles (16), le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes: a) à partir de la position complètement arrimée et rétractée de la perche (11), on commence à lâcher le câble (18), la perche (11) commençant ainsi à descendre, ledit câble (18) étant maintenu en tension tout au long de l'étape a) par la force fournie par les surfaces aérodynamiques mobiles (16) et/ou la force de la gravité sur la perche (11); b) une fois atteinte la position maximale de déploiement de la perche (11) ou de l'extrémité inférieure de l'enveloppe de vol de la perche (11) atteinte, on arrête la sortie du câble (18); c) tout en maintenant fixe la longueur de câble (18) sorti, on amène la perche (11) dans une position appropriée pour commencer les manoeuvres de ravitaillement de l'avion récepteur; d) on commence la manoeuvre d'accouplement de la perche (11) avec le réceptacle de l'avion récepteur, par la commande sur les surfaces aérodynamiques mobiles (16); e) une fois réalisé l'accouplement, on commence le transvasement de combustible vers l'avion récepteur.
