Abstract

Video signal data characterized by an extended dynamic range and/or an extended dimensionality is accepted. The accepted video signal data is converted into a different color space. Extended dynamic range and/or extended dimensionality data may be mapped to a container format that conforms to a legacy media interface. The extended dynamic range/dimensionality data are thus transportable over the legacy media interface.

Selon l'invention, des données de signal vidéo caractérisées par une gamme dynamique étendue et/ou une dimensionnalité étendue sont acceptées. Les données de signal vidéo acceptées sont converties vers un espace colorimétrique différent. Des données à gamme dynamique étendue et/ou à dimensionnalité étendue peuvent être mappées à un format de contenant conforme à une interface multimédia patrimoniale. Les données à gamme dynamique/dimensionnalité étendues sont ainsi transportables sur l'interface multimédia patrimoniale.
