A refrigeration appliance (11) includes an appliance housing and a liner within (19,21) the housing, defining an interior storage chamber (13,15) at least partially enclosed by the liner, and providing a storage chamber rear wall (23), a first storage chamber sidewall (25), and a second storage chamber sidewall (27). The first storage chamber (25) sidewall has a plurality of openings through the first storage chamber sidewall (25). The second storage chamber sidewall (27) has another plurality of openings through the second storage chamber sidewall (27). A plurality of lighting devices (41) illuminates the interior storage chamber (13,15). Each of the lighting devices (41) is mounted within a respective one of the openings and emits light toward the storage chamber rear wall (23) providing a showcase lighting effect. Each of the lighting devices (41) includes a cover (59) located in the interior storage chamber (13,15) and a device housing (71) located within the respective one -of the openings. An illumination level within the storage chamber (13,15), due to light emitted by the plurality of lighting devices (41), is substantially vertically uniform.

L'invention concerne un appareil frigorifique qui comprend un boîtier et un isolant à l'intérieur du boîtier, définissant une chambre de stockage intérieure au moins partiellement entourée par l'isolant, et produisant une paroi arrière de la chambre de stockage, ainsi qu'une première et une seconde paroi latérale de ladite chambre. La première paroi latérale de la chambre de stockage comprend plusieurs ouvertures à travers la première paroi latérale de la chambre de stockage. La seconde paroi latérale de la chambre comprend plusieurs autres ouvertures à travers la seconde paroi latérale de la chambre de stockage. Plusieurs dispositifs d'éclairage éclairent la chambre de stockage intérieure. Chaque dispositif d'éclairage est monté dans une des ouvertures respectives et émet de la lumière en direction de la paroi arrière de la chambre de stockage produisant un effet d'éclairage vitrine. Chaque dispositif d'éclairage comprend un revêtement placé dans la chambre de stockage intérieure et un boîtier de dispositif placé dans les ouvertures respectives. Le niveau d'éclairage dans la chambre de stockage, produit par la lumière émise par les multiples dispositifs d'éclairage, est sensiblement uniforme verticalement.
