The disclosure relates to methods of maintaining and/or expanding an in vitro population of hypoxia compartment cells comprising culturing said population of cells optionally in an oxygen controlled environment, wherein the population of hypoxia compartment cells is exposed to an oxygen concentration of between about 1.5% and about 10%, preferably between about 2% and about 5%, and uses of cells expanded according to these methods.

L'invention concerne des procédés de maintien et/ou de développement d'une population in vitro de cellules de compartiment hypoxique comportant la culture de ladite population de cellules facultativement dans un environnement à teneur en oxygène régulée, la population de cellules de compartiment hypoxique étant exposée à une concentration en oxygène comprise entre environ 1,5 % et environ 10 %, de préférence entre environ 2 % et environ 5 %, et des utilisations de cellules développées selon ces procédés.
