Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer katalytischen Zusammensetzung, wobei die katalytische Zusammensetzung eine hohe Aktivität und Selektivität bezüglich der Oxidation von CO und eine verringerte Aktivität bezüglich der Oxidation von NO aufweist. Die Erfindung betrifft ebenso den nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren hergestellten Katalysator. Die Erfindung ist letztlich auf ein Abgasreinigungssystem gerichtet, welches den erfindungsgemäßen Katalysator umfasst. Die Herstellung umfasst die Schritte a) Imprägnieren eines Trägermaterials mit einer Platinverbindung, b) Trocknen des imprägnierten Trägermaterials unterhalb des Zersetzungspunktes der Platinverbindung, c) Kalzinieren des imprägnierten Trägermaterials in einem Gasstrom, der CO und Inertgas enthält.

The invention relates to a method for producing a catalytic composition, said composition having a high activity and selectivity in relation to the oxidation of CO and a reduced activity in relation to the oxidation of NO. The invention also relates to a catalyst produced according to the claimed method. The invention further relates to an emission control system comprising the claimed catalyst. The production method comprises the following steps: a) impregnation of a backing material with a platinum compound; b) drying of the impregnated material below the decomposition temperature of the platinum compound; calcination of the impregnated backing material in a gas stream containing CO and an inert gas.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire une composition catalytique, cette composition catalytique présentant une activité et une sélectivité élevées par rapport à l'oxydation de CO et une activité moins intense par rapport à l'oxydation de NO. Cette invention concerne également un catalyseur produit selon ledit procédé. Par ailleurs, cette invention concerne un système d'épuration de gaz d'échappement comprenant le catalyseur selon l'invention. Le procédé de production comprend les étapes consistant à: a) imprégner une matière de support au moyen d'un composé platine; b) sécher la matière de support imprégnée à une température inférieure au point de décomposition du composé platine; c) faire calciner la matière de support imprégnée dans un flux gazeux contenant du CO et un gaz inerte.
