Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a method of providing a desired catalyst electron energy level. The method includes providing a donor material quantum confinement structure (QCS) having a first Fermi level, and providing an acceptor QCS material having a second Fermi level, where the first Fermi level is higher than the second Fermi level. According to the method the acceptor is disposed proximal to the donor to alter an electronic structure of the donor and the acceptor materials to provide the desired catalyst electron energy level.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour fournir un niveau souhaité d'énergie d'électrons de catalyseur. Le procédé consiste à fournir une structure de confinement quantique (QCS) de matériau donneur qui possède un premier niveau de Fermi, et à fournir un matériau QCS accepteur qui possède un second niveau de Fermi, le premier niveau de Fermi étant supérieur au second niveau de Fermi. Selon le procédé, l'accepteur est disposé de façon proximale par rapport au donneur pour modifier une structure électronique des matériaux donneur et accepteur afin de fournir le niveau souhaité d'énergie d'électrons de catalyseur.
